We're now getting stuck into the year properly and exploring some of the new hobby projects that you've been working on in the Hobby & Painting Forum.

We've got some cracking looking pieces to show off today with one of them being something a bit different.

Bolt Action Objectives by darkiss

The first set of goodies to check out are these Bolt Action Objectives and terrain pieces which have been created by darkiss.

Bolt Action Objectives #1 by darkiss

Made using a series of spare weapons as well as the ever-useful coffee stirrer these are looking awesome for adding a bit more colour to your tabletop.

Bolt Action Objectives #2 by darkiss

It's much cooler to be running around looking for awesome objectives like these than it is staring down at a board covered in tokens and beads. I particularly liked the one above with the map and assorted kit spread out across it.

Building a narrative on the tabletop is important, at least to me, and these do the job perfectly. They also look like they would blend nicely into the board to thanks to the way the materials have been used.

There is more work in the pipeline with Air Drop Containers for the Market Garden Campaign. darkiss is looking for some help and advice as to what he could use going forward with the project and more.

Maximillian 1934 Car by tonysilvey

Building on the range from Eureka and 1st Corps we have this new mash-up from Maximillian. This is another awesome looking vehicle for the game which adds a dash of Pulp to the vehicular mayhem genre.

Once again we're getting a look at a vehicle that has been painted up in some big, bold, brash colours and the finish of this particular piece is stunning.

This is then contrasted by the rather normal looking base, making the vehicle stand out all the more. I love that we're seeing plenty of smaller games out there that embrace a colourful and individual style. It means we get people being wonderfully creative as we can see here.

15mm Fantasy Sculpts by nicevans

Last but not least we have something a bit different as we look at some of the 15mm sculpting being done by nicevans. This is a small passion at the moment but it's turning into a rather nice collection as you'll see below.

15mm Sculpts #1 by nicevans

A number of nice miniatures have already taken shape including this Town Guard here above and the Orc next to him. The details look great and we're seeing some real skill at work here.

There are plenty of WiP pictures over on the link above from nicevans as well as a video showing off one of the models too.

15mm Sculpts #2 by nicevans

Maybe this will inspire a few of you out there to try your hand at the sculpting thing for yourself. Currently his work is essentially for himself although I'm sure that some folks will start to pick up on his work.

Sculpting must take a lot of time and paitience to get it right, but there's also nothing wrong with tinkering around yourself too in an effort to see what you can bring to life.
