North Star Turn Your Frostgrave Soldiers into Forest Outlaws

North Star are going to be helping you expand on your warband choices in Frostgrave by Osprey Games with a new Forest Outlaw Set which comes with alternative metal components for upgrading your men...
Here you see it gives you a few different options including plenty of heads that come with hoods and hats. You also get an assortment of different weapons which are more befitting of a band of outlaws. Some Merry Men you might say.
You can check out some of them after being painted below...
I think this is a great new set and I always love working with hoods on models - I think they add something awesome and of course shadowy, to a model.
Will you be picking this set up?

Just wish they hadnt released the official FG minis in heroic GW scale, cause i do like the design .. if only it had been without oversized heads and hands.
They’re not as bad as you think in person. Though I have had an easy time swapping bits between the soldiers and an old box of GW Bowmen, up close you can see the Frostgrave stuff is actually a tiny bit more toned-down and realistic.
It’s the paint job they give them in the promo photos that make them look heroic-esque. They use heavy lines on those models.
Yup. They don’t mix well with a lot of other true 28mm figures which is rather frustrating. But, they look awesome in person and I’ll keep acquiring them. They’re not as bulky as GW, bulkier than most of the historical plastics. GW Empire/Bretonnian plastics are spot on for conversions. Plastics from Gripping Beast, Conquest, and Warlord fit. They are a touch small and you mostly see it when you head swap. The arms aren’t that bad. Perry is right out. I absolutely love their minis but they are way too small. Or if you like, everyone else is way too… Read more »
thats good to know, the perrys are more in scale with redbox 🙂 time to grab an english army box i think
Love it!
Conquest Games new plastic Norman Archers and the Frostgrave figures are another excellent combo btw. 😎
Extra heads can only be a good thing!
With those hoods and heads I see a Night’s Watch-themed warband, with a sellsword captain. The Wizard in question would be an elementalist lady in red, that summons a white wolf to accompany the sellsword!
I can’t wait to say the phrases in game: His watch has ended… for the night is dark and full of terrors.
These models peak my interest …
Nice.
Yes, please! 🙂
I love all the extra kits and little bits and pieces they’re churning out for Frostgrave.
they look good.
Very nice.
I Sher – wood like to get my hands on this set.
