Oathmark: Battles Of The Lost Age Details Pop Up From Osprey & North Star
October 6, 2017 by brennon
Brought to life by Osprey Games alongside North Star we are now getting more details of Oathmark: Battles Of The Lost Age, which will feature those awesome plastic Dwarves and Goblins we've been seeing.
The game is penned by the creator of Frostgrave, Joseph A. McCullough and features you taking to the battle with armies of Dwarves, Men, Elves and Goblins in massed combat. You will be fighting a campaign to secure your realm and win riches for your lands.
As well as typical armies like Dwarves as you'll see below...
...there's also the potential to mix and match things up as you go. I think it's going to be pretty hard for me to move away from just painting up another army of Dwarves to be honest.
More details will become apparent on their Facebook Page and we'll be keeping an eye on it for sure.
What do you think?

I will be if they make undead
Got some of these Dwarves at Salute, they are pretty sweet
Mass combat, dwarves. What’s not to love?
True ….. so true
I am interested for sure, would like to know a bit more about the rules… the art direction of the figures is pretty clear and I am ok with that.
as previously said, undead would grab my attention. want to see some gobbo pics please
The author is good in my opinion, however, I do have big “what?” when I read Elves and Goblins fighting side by side….call me old and traditionalist.
Having said that I really hope the game is more towards the big skirmish size of Dragon Rampant than Kings of War. I have an undead army for KoW since one year now and just have painted one small skelly regiment 🙁
Elves and goblins ?
Both are sneaky gits. So they kind of deserve each other :-p
Besides … goblins and dwarves as allies … *that* would be even weirder.
I think that subverting the traditional enemy/ally structure of fantasy is a potentially great idea.
“Both are sneaky gits and deserve each other” ….. It is my day for saying this but , True ….. so true
I’ll definitely buy the game – if I add any of the miniatures to my collection remains to be seen, but I can’t say I am not tempted.
Keeping an eye on this still looking for that unit based fantasy game that really scratches my itch
Presume its going to be rank and file. Where Joe could take this forwards is in the scenario department (an area much ignored by other authors of rules…even GW seem only interested in Tourney sets of rules). With the background of Frostgrave behind him, I’d love to see a narrative campaign come out with this release 🙂
This does look interesting….. Good to see they have started with cool factions too and not an elf is in sight 😉
The dwarf models look awesome, a nice touch of oldhammer
It’s nice to see that spirit of Oldhammer lives on.
I am presuming the shield transfers are from one of the two usual suspects
@brennon @warzan They have just released a photo of one of the goblins on the FB page and it looks nice . No idea how to embed it here. Maybe somebody there can
You know those Dwarves would probably be good for Frostgrave… 😛
