Ziterdes Raise The Rigging On New Viking Longship

Ziterdes has got a new kit for those building up a band of Viking miniatures to send overseas in search of villages to raid and land to settle. You can now pick up a Viking Longship in 28mm for you to drop into your Historical wargames.
Viking Ship // Ziterdes
The core of the ship here has been built using structural rigid foam which makes it light but stable. It can be cut easily if you wanted to tweak it but within the set, you'll also find some figureheads made out of resin and some oars made out of plastic rods.
Viking Ship With Crew // Ziterdes
The wood texture has been modelled into the foam ship and the entire thing has been sculpted so that it will sit flush on the tabletop. You will also find some additional string for you to help build the rigging for the ship although you'll have to find a big sail for it.

Because of its light nature, I could see this being a very gameable piece. You could play around with this on the tabletop, packed with miniatures and it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I have played quite a bit of SAGA over the years and I've yet to play a proper raid scenario. When I can get my hands on some cool boats I will certainly make sure to try and do so!

Very nice. It will carry vikings to war so that they blades can be stained with nobles’ blood as well as blood of any unlucky villagers who’s village they happen to raid.

Some cool stuff Ziterdes, may have to take the plunge sometime and make a couple of purchases. The Dwarf fortress looks ace but I’m really liking this too…
