Zenit Miniatures Releases New Miniatures For Torii
May 2, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Zenit Miniatures is releasing some new miniatures to go along with the Torii ruleset. Torii is a skirmished based game that takes place in feudal Japan. The new miniatures are: Ozutzu, a soldier holding what looks like a hand cannon or is it a blunderbuss?
The second new miniature is the No-Dachi Samurai with traditional Samurai costume and swords.
The last new release is for the Teppotai riflemen. It is interesting to see the transformation from traditional Samurai weapons to the more modern weapons with the advent and use of gunpowder. In some ways it is sad to see the beautiful culture and traditions of such a proud people be lost to modernism.
I know I will get teased for this, but this reminds me of "The Last Samurai" movie which I really like. There is something to be said about holding to one beliefs and traditions.
They have also released a painting guide for the miniatures called Painting War and it is available in English as well as Spanish.
All of these new releases would be an beautiful addition to anyone's miniatures collection for painting and or playing. I can think of several systems that these would look good in.
Do you like Samurai?

I still hope they will make creatures and magicians from Kensei available to Torii. Even maybe a living dead starter with minis from their last KS.
And yes, the Ozutsu is using some kind of blunderbuss.
Needs more shugenja 🙂
