Zenit Bolster The Forces Of Kensei & Torii With Keen Eyed Archers
June 6, 2016 by brennon
Zenit Miniatures are added some more models to their range for both Kensei and Torii. Here we have two new sets including the Archers of the Yumi Sohei, and also the Yari Samurai...
While my experience of exactly what Archers were like in Japanese society extends to the film, The Last Samurai, I love the way they fired their arrows, making it almost like an art form.
Each of them had pin point accuracy and the range of those bows was rather insane too. A skilled archer would be a good way to bring down a charging Samurai.
Yari Samurai
Following on from that we also have the artwork but no models in this preview for the well armed Yari Samurai.
One of the fun things about this Japanese theme is looking at the range of masks that they have on offer for you to paint. As well as meaning you don't have to paint faces (yay!) it gives you some crazy looking characters to explore.
Have you been delving into the world of Kensei and Torii?

Been meaning to give this a try as I love samurai games, but I don’t know how big they want the game to get. I have moved away from games that need hundreds of minis to skirmish level games. It’s why I love the Bushido miniatures game. Just not quite sure about this one.
Torii, their skirmish game, needs 8 to 12 minis. Their starters have 10 minis and are fully playable crews.

Very nice.
nice miniatures.
I keep looking at kensei/torii but I need an actual physical rulebook to enjoy a game.
