The X-Men Take a Trip to the Past in Their Latest Film

So we all got pretty hyped to see the new trailer for the next Captain America film, but he will not be the only Marvel hero soon to appear on the big screen. Today saw the release of the trailer for the new X-Men movie, Days of Future Past!
The film sees the return of Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen as Professor X and Magneto respectively, appearing alongside their younger selves from X-Men: First Class. So right off the bat I am hyped.
The trailer shows Xavier talking to Logan, aka Wolverine, about his younger self, apparently intending to send Wolverine back to avert the rather dark and gritty present they are in.
All our favourites look to be there, Storm, Wolverine, Magneto, Peter Dinklage. Wait a minute...
OH WOW TYRION LANNISTER IS THE VILLAIN!!!
Ahem, sorry about that.
It is really cool to see the X-Men returning to the screen as a team, rather than Wolverine hogging the limelight again. The return of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen makes this doubly exciting and I cannot wait to see how the whole two time periods thing pans out.
Will you be seeing this when it comes to cinemas?
Yes, yes I will. Days of Future Past is a part of my childhood.
Awesome comic! I hope they stay true to it!!
There seem to be two changes in the trailer. It’s present going to the past rather than future going to the present, and Wolverine rather than Kitty Pryde is the one travelling back in time. Mystique’s presence suggests it still involves the BoEM. One thing I hope they don’t copy from the comics is the incredibly convoluted continuity it spawned.
it look really good would have liked it if Idris Elba played bishop that guy just dosen’t look right to me http://comicbook.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/bishop-x-men-days-of-future-past.jpg
Hoping this will be Marvel’s ‘Dark Knight’. Grew up with this story, with the X-Men comics and cartoon and cant wait to see it. Sentinels are awesome villains.
