X-Men Debut In Marvel Champions For Mutant Genesis

The next expansion for Marvel Champions: The Card Game has been announced, taking players away from the streets of New York and enrolling them into the mutant home of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The newest expansion has been teased over at Fantasy Flight Games, bringing the X-Men to focus for the next large release in Mutant Genesis.

This will be the fifth expansion making way to the deck-building title. After conquering the likes of an Infinity Gauntlet and foiling the plans of the Sinister Six, the X-Men will be suiting up for their first entry into the title. Brining a whirlwind of mutated powers to the forefront to take down the evil schemes of the mighty metallic Magneto.

The X-Men embrace their differences within the world and sought to protect the civilians who fear their unique abilities. Classic heroes will be facing off against Magneto's trusty henchmen and inner circle including Toad, Sabertooth, Pyro and Blob, and some Sentinals to hopefully avoid before facing the wrath of the Master of Magnetism. Brings forth Piotr Rasputin and Kitty Pride to rise and thwart the plans of Magneto - highlighting Colossus and Shadowcat with pre-built and ready-to-play decks in the expansion.

Players will be getting comfortable with the X-Mansion, with five new scenarios to flex the X. Ready to play as part of an overarching campaign, starting in the midst of assassination and onto pushing through Project Wideawake.

In hiding from the Sentinals, rescuing allies from Master Mold and adapting against the Brotherhood of Mutants to eventually take down Magneto with a seriously skilled team of mutants.

The Mutant Genesis expansion will require a fierce and switched-on set of heroes, releasing both Cyclops and Phoenix on the same day - providing players with more bulk for their x-force. And with the cheeky announcement, we can expect to see a total of six hero packs instead of four as part of this new wave.

The upcoming expansion for Marvel Champions: The Card Game, Mutant Genesis, will be released this Autumn (or fall if you are fancy!), alongside two new hero packs containing the fearsome Phoenix and cunning Cyclops.
