Worthy Painting & Worthy Gaming Closing Down
May 31, 2013 by brennon
Worthy Painting and Worthy Gaming are closing down. The video went up last night and it's best if you watch through that for the details on what's happening now concerning existing projects...
It is genuinely a shame to see these guys go. I have admired their painting for a long time as they seem to have a real eye for detail and creating clean and crisp armies. Beasts of War have obviously had some miniatures painted by them in the past and they are great looking.
Best of luck with future endeavors guys!
This is sad news. I don’t live in the North West but I did pop in if I had time changing trains at Preston. They were some good people in that shop.
I live in Wigan, so was able to take a trip up the M6 every now and then. Was nice to have a dedicated store that sold other games than Warhammer. Gutted it’s gone 🙁
It seems like once again a store front has leeched the resources from the company. This is not good, and it saddens me to see him having to make the video. If anything, I hope they can learn from this and grow. Come back in a new business form that can be more stable for them and show the world what good painting should be like!
They are doing the right thing by taking care of the customers’ projects first and foremost… So many companies don’t !
From the sounds of it, they actually haven’t. Lots of people haven’t heard from him and even Blue Table Paining as well. Yet he has money to spend on joining new gyms but not to give back to customers.
Feel very sorry for him, its obvious in the video how upset he is, as a business owner myself I would consider things going that badly my worst nightmare, well done to him for making sure his customers dont lose out.
I thought they were doing well too, what with starting to painting minis for companies as well as the public, I can understand how the shop would cause cash-flow problems. Hopefully with BTP they can come back as just mini painters/converters. I posted on the video saying maybe they could come back as Phoenix Painting, which would be awesome. I hope too that the staff will be able to join Nick with BTP so they will still have jobs.
