The Woodland Indians Now Available From Wargames Factory
January 23, 2015 by brennon
Wargames Factory have added the Woodland Indians to their webstore now so you can begin the ambush of your enemies! Strike from the woods!
The boxed set contains enough pieces to make twenty four Indians...
"The contents are suitable for assembling warriors indicative of the Indian tribes residing in North America during the 18th and early 19th centuries. Contents are the necessary parts to construct 24 Indians plus a myriad of weapons including short bows, muskets, ball-headed clubs and gunstock shaped clubs, tomahawks and knives plus various hair and headdress options."
It looks like an awesome plastic kit with plenty of variety and customisation options for you to work with. A lot of people I know are picking this up to work on their gangs of Indians for Legends of the Old West to name one game!
You'll have seen this before but this is the sprue for the Woodland Indians too. I like it when you get a bunch of little nicknacks on your sprue so you can not only use them to help make these models but also keep them aside for creating others down the line.
A massive step up for Wargames Factory with these Indians!
What do you think?

Look super.
If I didn’t have a massively humongous backlog of hobby stuff I would be tempted to get into the French Indian Wars
Ditto. But I can still justify picking up a box for the missus. She’s a Revolutionary War/Wild West/Civil War buff. I’ll tuck a box into her birthday stuff this spring… so I can paint them and get into the French Indian Wars :-).
They look great.
I have not been that keen on previous releases from Wargames factory but these Woodland Indians look great. I will be getting some for sure.
2nd to last of the Mohicans 😉
Those are rather nice. I am just bothered that they still call native americans as indians.
Well, it’s the name most of the world uses, and we can’t all be expected to check how the various pressure groups want to be called this week and if they claim 10000 years old grave belongs to their tribe’s ancestors even if the tribe in question moved west 200 years ago.
These look rather nice.
They look just fannnntastics !
Funny enough I was watching last of the mohicans and thought a native vs native skirmish game could be cool. Lol maybe the game gods are telling me something!
Very interested for my FIW set. Size wise I hope they would match my existing 28mm figs
I found that this Wargames Factory range (I play AWI) tend to be closer to 32mm. Compared to Foundry models there is a definite size difference. I used my WGF redcoats as Grenadiers for that fact!
Time to flesh out my War of 1812 repertoire hehe Fort Machilimackinac here we come…
Definitely getting a box of these guys. Couple weapon swaps and Celtic tatto paint schemes then these will be my Forest-Kin for Across the Dead Earth. 🙂
Their whole AWI is amazing…
Best plastic kit for any system from any company in a long time at this scale, I can tell and I ain’t even got me mitts on em yet.
These do look quite nice, although I have no use for them. Would point out that the red tips on the woodland roach(head-dress) should be a buff color though. Just bein’ anal ya kno;. Oh, and its spelled nDn.
great set of minis for “Song of Drums and Tomahawks”
They look really superb.
