WizKids Hunt Replicants In Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol
December 20, 2019 by brennon
WizKids has been previewing a new game of deduction set within the world of Blade Runner. This new game, Blade Runner 2049: Nexus Protocol will have you looking to hunt down the final replicant against each other and Deckard himself.
This three-to-six player game seems like a nice new entry in the deduction genre here you take on the role of a group of Blade Runners who have been tasked with hunting down the last replicant. Time is running out and the replicant could be anyone and anywhere, including being one of you.
You will need to collect evidence and interrogate witnesses in order to expose hidden intent. If you find out if you're the one being hunting you now need to switch up your tactics and evade capture in order to win.
I like the idea of this and if they get the tone and pace of the game spot on I could see this being good fun.
Will you be keeping an eye on this?

Wow…I dislike the art for this cover.
Nuke’em from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
agree. artwork could have been better
Well, the game has six standees, so maybe WK will release optional miniatures for the game for your various futuristic games (eg. Starfinder). Looks like the game doesn’t have the rights to likenesses from the movie.
I think you’ve hit it right on the nose here @ced1106 with your statement, “Looks like the game doesn’t have the rights to likenesses from the movie.”
Or they could have used them, but it would have cost more to do so. WK might have seen this game as only producing a certain amount of revenue and so didn’t want to gamble the expense of acquiring the image rights.
Sounds good.
I like the elevator pitch, dislike the cover. I actually would not have guessed Bladerunner from that!
I guess wait and see when it drops.
That art….please i need new eyes……
