WizKids Let Fly The Rules For Dungeons & Dragons Attack Wing
August 9, 2014 by brennon
WizKids have put the Rules for Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing onto the internet so you can have a flick through the book and learn about all the special things your awesome dragons can do before the game hits later this autumn. I can't wait for this - I'm more excited about it than Star Wars Armada!
I'm all for forgetting about the ground troops to be honest and just choosing a whole bunch of awesome Dragons from their starter box and the inevitable expansion packs and then just duking it out in a royal rumble of draconic proportions! I better check to see how viable that is in the rules and then hopefully come October we'll be all set!
Are you looking out for this one?

Thanks for the news! I am quite interested in the game, after lots of positive opinions about the Star Wars X-wing. I don’t like the world of SW however, so still didn’t give it a try. Dragons seem to be done nice enough (for the pre-painted plastics at least). I wonder what are the thoughts about the prices for games (both SW and D&D), is it ok for one small pre-painted miniature to cost like that? It’s like 12 pounds for one small plastic spaceship… Is it enjoyable enough?
Can’t wait to get my hands on these and go crazy on painting mini dragons!
Only wish they had a specific release date.
definetly looking at these even if i don’t play the game they would be nice display models
Also more interested in the Dragons than X-Wing Armada.
The only problem is I am slowly building up my Star Trek AW and LOTR LCG
Buying into another collectable is not going to be easy.
Would be cooler imho to buy into the whole DnD dragons thing rather than bother with ground troops. but atm have more chance of finding a Dragon than getting a game of DnD lol
Not so much First World problems as a Golden Age for gaming 😀
You’ll always find a D&D game at our place :-). Just a skip across the pond and a pleasant 3000km drive inland.
Cheers man!
Put the kettle on be at your soonish! lol
What’s a kettle? 😉
How about we fire up the grill and tap the homebrew?
Now you’re talkin’… and how did you know I make my own beer, wine, and hard liquor? You can both drop in and help me ‘cook’. It’s almost that time of year… guaranteed you won’t get off the yard under your own steam ;-).
Those are actually rather nice.
Me and mate were just talking about this and SW Armada, so far the Dragons are winning in the what to get next race.
I like the idea of ground troops, as long as you can do the cinematic fly past and fry them all in one go!
Will have a look at the rules and keep an eye on this.
