WizKids Make Heroes & Monsters For The World Of Critical Role
January 22, 2021 by brennon
WizKids are working alongside the folks at Critical Role and Wizards Of The Coast on an array of characters and monsters for the Fantasy realm of Exandria made famous by their livestreamed D&D roleplay sessions.

WizKids is going to be producing a selection of new boxed sets which will feature pre-painted miniatures that mirror the characters and creatures from Matt Mercer's Exandria. There are six sets available for you to pick up which are packed with non-player characters and iconic monsters which you can use in your games.

A number of these characters will be familiar to those who have been following Critical Role for a while. You've got the likes of the Blood Hunter above from a class which was created by Mercer himself. Maybe you fancy playing as (or meeting) a Dunamancy Wizard from the newest campaign which ventures into the midst of a brutal war.

As well as many, many, many characters there are all manner of fascinating looking creatures which are drawn from the sourcebook by Mercer and his team. Many of the creatures are a little bit of a twist on classic monsters from Dungeons & Dragons.

There are some seriously big miniatures included in these sets alongside regular monsters. For example, check out this hulking Shadowghast here which looks like it could rip and tear its way through an adventuring party!

One of the miniatures from the WizKids collection is actually so big that it gets its own set. Udaak is one of their premium figures which is ready and waiting for a serious showdown.

If you're interested in seeing more of the miniatures which are going to be included as part of this collection then you can go and pre-order yourself sets HERE. All of the attention is focused in on Wildemount at the moment but I hope that we'll see some miniatures from Tal'Dorei and campaign one as well in the near future.
Are you going to be picking up some of these sets for your Dungeons & Dragons games?
