WizKids Bring a Set of Iconic Heroes to Pathfinder Battles
January 9, 2015 by dracs
WizKids have announced they will soon be releasing a new set of pre-painted miniatures for Pathfinder Battles, this time bringing out the first group of Iconic Heroes.
This set contains six new pre-painted character models, each of a legendary character from within the Pathfinder universe. The set also comes with six exclusive Boon Cards for use in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game.
It's always hard to judge WizKids' prepainted sculpts. When compared to unpainted miniatures on the market they can't hold a candle, with details looking smudgy and pre-paints that can't match what someone can do themselves.
Having said that, they are generally of a good quality among other such pre-painted miniature ranges, and the fact that they are ready for use as soon as they are out of the box stands well in their favour.
Will you pick up this first set of heroes for Pathfinder Battles?

From those only Lili Gnome Druid and his or her cat stand above others. Sajan Human Monk and Seoni are rather subpar.
Many people in the PACG community have been asking for this since Rise of the Runelords. They are by no means required for the game but they are a bit ‘cooler’ than placing the corresponding character card at a location. The fact that they even come with some PACG cards is just icing on the cake 😉
Supposedly these will be sport a ‘premium’ paint job but we shall see what that really means once the postman delivers my pre-order copy.
I guess they will do for us that just want that figure represented.
