WizKid Sneak A Peek At Deep Space Nine Star Trek Reward

Down at my local gaming store a whole bunch of people are taking part in a Star Trek: Attack Wing league to win themselves a copy of this rather large Deep Space Nine model. Check it out below from WizKids...
It's actually quite the well painted piece of kit and as you can see, it's huge as well. Deep Space Nine was always one of my favourite series of Star Trek and it always fought with Voyager for that spot after Next Generation.
I can't wait for one of these to arrive in the store so I can see it in the flesh. It should be ace for fighting around and seeing how it interacts with the game itself.

Looks cool. DS9 was my favourite series, Voyager and TNG tied for second. Attack Wing is a great game. OK, the paint jobs on the ships is not great, but the game plays really well and the flight path system makes it easy to get into.
I’ve got my eyes on April as the first of the Borg ships, sphere 4270, is due out then!
I can’t bring myself to play this game (Star Trek, meh), but I have to hand it to WizKids. They’re doing a much better job supporting their organized play than FFG does. Play in a FFG league and you’ll be lucky to come away with some oversized cards or plastic movement templates. There’s only one instance where playing in a non-FFG-run tournament could win you an actual ship (and that’s mostly because the second wave of ships was delayed three months, so they gave what little they had away as prizes to maintain interest).
