Wizards, Dragons & Dwarves Unite In New Release Fantasy Fluxx

Looney Labs have recently released their newest version of Fluxx and although there seems like there is a Fluxx for everything nowadays, Fantasy Fluxx certainly raised my eyebrows.

I have played Fluxx in many forms, just off the top of my head ranging from Star Trek Voyager Fluxx, Monty Python Fluxx as well as a Nature Fluxx (no surprises here). So it was not going to be long for us to get a Fantasy Fluxx - something I am surprised about not being out sooner. But it is here in 2021, and I am looking forward to seeing what Fantasy Fluxx has to offer.
If you have been hiding under a rock, and have never played Fluxx before. It is a series of card games with all the same premise. You draw cards from a shuffled deck and the rules of the game are constantly changing, and the goals you need to meet change too. The only way to win is to meet the current goal, or switch it back to one you have already met.
Now, the newest version of this classic game ties in all of your favourite fantasy elements into that small little deck. 'Keepers' have magical powers to flex, and your actions will allow you to cast spells in your defence and cause malice to your enemy.

What would a fantasy-themed game be without the whimsical characters we love the most? Included in the game are familiar fantasy folk of all walks of life. If you are looking for pirates, princesses, elves or dwarves and all their fantastical trinkets being held as tightly as Gollum would the ring - you are in the correct place.
If you are a fan of pop culture too, there are featured references to all your favourite iconic fantasy films, shows and books, including Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, with cards entitled "You Have My Axe!" and "The School of Wizardry".
Fantasy Fluxx is for 2-6 players alike every other Fluxx title and can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes to play.
What is your favourite edition of Fluxx?

I’m always down for more Fluxx, and this one especially!
I think I own the Lovecraft Fluxx – I say I think as I have no idea where it is!
I recall it being suitably bonkers. It was watching an episode of Will Wheaton’s tabletop youtube show that brough the Fluxx game to my attention.
To be fair I got into buying alot of boardgames because of Will Wheaton – Damn you Wheaton!
I love a bit of Fluxx. Zombie is the ultimate for me (take out the “make Zombie noises” card to avoid upsetting the other people in that Danish bar).
Nice.
