Wings of War Becomes Wings of Glory
September 14, 2011 by dracs
New company Ares Games is going to start publishing aerial combat game Wings of Glory (previously known as Wings of War). Here are some previews of the game cards.
Wings of War was a great game and I cannot wait to see what changes will be in the new rulebook being brought out for Wings of Glory.
Don't worry though, if you already have the original kit for Wings of War it will be fully compatible with the re-release.
What are your thoughts on this guys? Any of you ever play Wings of War before? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Cant wait. I want to get my collection of tiny planes up and running again. Hopefully there will be some new ones to add to it.
Will they be supporting the ww1 stuff as well?
I hope so 🙂
Yes they will, just ww2 info seems to be leaking at the mo
I’m very glad to hear that Wings of War will be continuing under a different name. I think it’s an amazing system, and I can’t wait for more planes.
I was wondering how long before you guys let us know re Wings of War/Glory
I looking foward to my new ww1 series for the early war planes- otherwise its off to Skytrex for me to build and paint the minis
Awesome game. In both incarnations. We like to play the WW1 version with as many people as possible. 12 planes, 6 aside blasting away at each other until half of them is down (so that the downed pilots don´t have too lng for a new round) is a great mode for us. The carnage! 😀 The game is taught in 3 minutes, it is that easy to pick up. The additional special rules like different heights and such are nice but see seldomn use in our group. It is the epitome of beer and pretzels game for us.
I had a game of the original at Salute and it was awesome. Can’t wait for the WW1 edition to come out again.
