Ares Games Goes to Kickstarter to Bring the Giants of the Sky for Wings of Glory
March 9, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Ares Games is going to Kickstarter starting March 10 to seek funding there new two big and I mean big biplanes of WWI. The first model will be the British Handley Page O/400. This goliath of the sky was used by the British to support ground troops and to fly bombing raids deep into enemy territory. The second model will the a true giant of the sky, the German Zeppelin Staaken R.VI was the largest airplane ever to fight during World War 1.'
The Kickstarter will run until April 2nd and there is reportedly 8 different pledge levels from a person looking to get into Wings of Glory with a starter set up to a high level for retailers or a games club. If you do not know about Wings of Glory, think of it similar to X-Wing Miniatures but set in WWI. I saw some players having a really good time playing this at GenCon last summer, so if you are a historical player or a aviation buff this might just be for you.
Do think this Kickstarter will take off?

Great stuff, looking forward to the “big boys” flying around my table. Great game by the way, and extremely easy on the pocketbook to get into.
Those look great.
Fun game so might take a look
