Wild West Exodus Continues The Exclusive Sneak Peeks
August 15, 2013 by brennon
Wild West Exodus is continuing to show off more from their upcoming miniatures range and as well as some Pinkertons we also have another exclusive sneak peek for the Enlightened Boss Eiffel.
First up we have said Pinkertons with their rather fashionable attire and awesome looking weaponry. These fellows work for the Union army and form a potent combination on the battlefield.
And for the exclusive today we have...
"Gustave Eiffel was known for his amazing metal creations, but with Dr. Carpathian calling he could not turn the offer down. Eiffel has taken his knowledge of metal work and structural engineering to help Dr. Burson Carpathian take control of the old west. His six legged spider bot is just one of the many creepy and deadly creations that Eiffel will bring to the Enlightened. Carpathian, Edison, and Eiffel stand to be a serious force to overcome in this new and deadly land."
Some great looking additions to the range and worth a second look, especially if you're at Gen Con this year! See what you can find out from the folks over there and get shootin' and tootin'!
What do you think of the range?
Really happy to see Eiffel in the flesh at last. Was a bit worried that the spider would be too big, but I love how Eiffel is sitting in his cockpit. This is one spider I would not like to hit with a rolled up newspaper, 😛
Liking the Pinkerton and Courtright too, the paint job really makes the features and fine details pop. There is a lot to be happy about for me today.
😀 <—See?

Ha ! very cool !
It’s actually a good Eiffel likeness.
Where’s Will Smith’s Jim West in all this?
A giant spider? Really? The best they got is to rip off a horrible Will Smith movie? I mean look, everyone is entitled to their opinion of what works and what doesn’t. Lord knows there are things that I love that others can’t stand. But I think somebody should say that just because you’re part of a particular industry that it doesn’t mean you know everything about it. Mini War Gaming tried to do a game. Saw it for about ten minutes then nothing. Even Rick P. couldn’t get that Gates Of Whatever thing going and everyone knows him. It… Read more »
Think that is a bit harsh.
Spider walkers are fairly ubiquitous these days. Shoving it into a steampunk WW setting doesn’t mean it has been ripped off from anything
@Spaderfish, No one is saying you are wrong with your viewpoint mate, if it isnt your cup of tea there is othing wrong with that. 🙂 I think the only issue is that I dont really see your issue. Eiffel looks an awesome model to me and the theme of WWX seems new for wargaming imho. Every genre of gaming could be closely described by a video of some type, the fact that Will Smiths movie is the only one that can be called upon to offer a likeness is a compliment as far as I can tell. The industry… Read more »
I take your point. To clarify mine I would just say this. As I have begun looking to games made outside the sphere of the GW that dominated my youth, I see only so many seats at the table. As it’s all still a niche industry by comparison to most, with GW still taking the lions share, I want anything else that comes down the pipe to feel like its really going in a new direction. Having said that my background is in film and television here in America so it’s quite possible that my experiences with projects in that… Read more »
Thanks for clarifying that @Spaderfish. 🙂 I am not sure which way to steer you im affraid. I think most games will have dice throws etc but skirmish games do feel different and more tactical. Infinity may be a good one to check out as the rule set can be basic to start with but introduce all the rules and you have one hell of a detailed game with great books, campaigns, art and models. This is produced by a company called Corvus Belli in Spain and they are really great guys. 🙂 BoW have done 3x week coverages for… Read more »

“Hope you find what you are looking for as it must be frustrating being in limbo looking for a system to play”
The real frustration is not being able to play them all!
So many great games I ain’t even gonna get a sniff at! lol
I should state that this process is an overall growth away from GW not a recent one. For several years now I have enjoyed Infinity and have many of their models. I find It a fantastic product with high quality all around. My references are to the specific genre that WWE is based in. I guess the whole Cowboys and Indians thing has just been done a lot over here in the states and feels somewhat dated as a concept. Where as a wild west game or TV program in say Japan, would be a great departure from the norm… Read more »
