Rumble Across The Wild West With Empress’ Stagecoach!

Empress Miniatures is going to be showing off this brand new Wild West Stagecoach in 28mm scale this weekend at Warfare but it will end up getting released next week for folks online too!
Wild West Stage Coach // Empress Miniatures
This particular kit has been designed to match the 1939 classic Wild West film, Stage Coach. Pretty awesome, right? Miniature-wise, it breaks down as John Wayne as the Ringo Kid, John Carradine as Hatfield, Louise Platt as Lucy Mallory, Andy Vabre Devine as the driver, George Bancroft riding shotgun and Thomas Mitchell as Doc Boone.
Wild West Stage Coach Close-Up // Empress Miniatures
The close-up shows off all of the details of the kit and the mix between both metal and resin components. I think this would be a brilliant set for those who are looking to play out a fun scenario where they are getting chased by someone on the dusty roads of the Wild West.
Here you can see how it lines up against a normal mounted 28mm rider from the Empress collection.

As mentioned, this is available at Warfare this weekend but will then be available over on the Empress webstore next week.
Are you tempted to snap this up and start using it as set dressing or as part of a big scenario?

That is seriously impressive. Envy for you wild West gamers.
Are we looking at the same piece? I see a giant gap between the roof section and the sides that indicates a very poor fit, windows that look more like unfinished gaps in the resin rather than actual windows, and the curve of the resin carriage doesn’t match the curve of the metal frame it should be riding on. Add in almost no actual period ornamentation and it looks like a half-baked sci-fi egg.
As an old-west gamer, I would not buy that at half the price.
Resin kits need a bit of work, yes.
It’s a lift off roof.
while your point about the roof is valid (although it appears to be intended to be a removable during play feature), and the windows do appear to require al ittle flash removal, the rest of it is accurate to the historical stagecoaches. the “curve of the metal frame” actually represents the large leather straps the passenger compartment rides on. the passenger compartment basically “floats” on these two straps, which helped damp out a lot of the bumps caused by the unimproved roadways the stagecoach would travel over. it basically was a primitive form of suspension meant to smooth out the… Read more »
Great for the perfect cowboys and Indians game with the stagecoach have to escape from the table to win.
That’s an amazing kit. I’m scared to checkout the cost.
