Westfalia Are Taking The Halfings To Kickstarter
July 31, 2019 by dracs
Westfalia have a new Kickstarter about to launch, preparing to bring an army of everyone's favourite diminutive heroes to the table. Are you ready for The Third Breakfast?
Westfalia's halfling army looks like it will not be contenting itself with the usual array of Shire folk. These are halflings who are more than ready to take to the field of battle.
The Kickstarter features all manner of interesting troops, ranging from regular half-men-at-arms to halfling hussars and even artillery.
And when they need a bit of muscle, there will be ogres to make up the difference.
It's important to note that not all of these are new sculpts. The Third Breakfast Kickstarter seeks to bring back every halfling Westfalia have already made, with the addition of new character minis and some female halflings who, as Westfalia put it, "don't wear aprons."
I love these models. While I am somewhat biased when it comes to halflings, these models are inventive and full of character, and should make for a fantastic themed force in games like Warlords of Erehwon.
Will you stoop to back this Kickstarter?
Thanks to @sundancer for the tip off.

Those are some nice looking Halflings and Ogre.
I can’t be held responsible for sold organs, ruined relationships, crammed hobby spaces or drained wallets!
PS: You’re welcome @dracs 😉
those halfling hussars are awesome haha
also is a halfling ogre the size of a normal man?
Just an ogre who knows where his bread is buttered
I’m guessing a well stocked kitchen if a Halfling is doing the buttering!
straight out with the ballyrashane
as a halfling ogre, presume he butters both sides of his toast…and the sides?
a great set of defenders and the uruk-hai attackers.
Wow. I did not know I needed full blown, war ready, militant Halflings in my life.
GW missed a trick here
They had an army then they blew the world up.
The elite Winged Halfling Hussars renowned for their ability to flutter up and get things from the top shelf. 😉 😛 😉
I really should add to my goat cavalry.
of course you should
Great models, but they always seem to be out of stock on everything. Makes me wonder about their financial state.
it’s a part time job for Kawe and he moved to canada from england last year. As it’s cast in the UK and he had several other kickstarters to be fulfilled they hadn’t gotten around to refilling the store.
TLDR; yeah they’re fine, and out of 12 KSers the only delayed one landed around the time the moved, I got the Dark Eye KSer last week from him.
I had always thought Westphalia was A German company
well he’s German if that counts
Thanks @Avernos . Good to know the background on this. I’ve been waiting for a restock!
no problem, I’ve backed nearly all of his KSers and have never had an issue with fulfillment or quality.
tempted to jump on board. Those halflings look great
