Dark Age Welcomes New Skarrd To Gen Con 2017
August 11, 2017 by brennon
The minds behind Dark Age are bringing the Skarrd to the tabletop for Gen Con 2017. A new raft of releases will be coming out for you to check out, with some of them gathered here below...
The breakdown of the new Skarrd units seems to be like this:
- Dark Age: Skarrd
- Dark Age Skarrd 2017 Faction Deck
- Skarrd Faction Starter Box
- Skarrd Raze and Disciples of Raze Unit Box
- Skarrd Scourge and Fell Pack Unit Box
- Dragyri Slaves Unit Box
The Skarrd really have had a new lease of life with this release and we're hoping to get up close and personal with these models to see what's changed with them and where the Dark Age team are likely to take them next.
...But Wait, There's More!
As well as the Skarrd they are going to have a bunch of limited edition content and...
"The first 500 Dark Age customers will also get their hands on the first printed copies of the brand new Chronicles: Skarrd; Diary of a Toxic Man, fantastic narrative collection of game scenarios based around the actions and missions of Father Curwen!"
I really like the idea of more narrative scenarios bringing you new options for your tabletop games. Centralising it around a particular character in your world is also a great idea.
What do you think of their news?

Those look really good.
These new Dark Age minis are so incredible. I want them all aghh
fantastic looking monsters.
Wow they really did make the worst looking faction into the hottest looking faction. The ugly S&M vibe that the old set gave off is gone and thats a good thing.
Nah, they still got their “ugly s&m” going. And they are supposed to. Just way cooler.
Yeah, Dark Age, tempted by all the new stuff. Again. XD
Really excited about how they will make the rest of the range look. Was always intrigued by the Skarrd but the minis just didn’t convince me enough. Bit sad they didn’t grant the big guys new sculpts, too. They could really benefit from it.
