Website Exclusive Yukiko Fujita Brings The Big Guns To DUST 1947
June 10, 2017 by brennon
The world of DUST 1947 gets itself another fantastic character in the form of Yukiko Fujita who is carrying one hell of a sniper rifle into battle for the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Let's learn a little more about this character which seems heavily inspired by anime...
"Ensign Yukiko Fujita is a Cadet of the Imperial Japanese Navy, currently undergoing combat training in the Operation Babylon area of operations. A superior marksman, she uses a specially designed Sniper Rifle to take down enemy officers and key personnel. She loves her time on the front and can't wait for her “sisters” to come and join her to face the enemies of the Axis.
While from the IJN Faction, Yukiko can play within any Axis Army. She is presented here in her Babylon clothes, as used in the Middle-East circa 1947. Please note that this Premium version of Yukiko is exclusive to the www.dust1947.com website and can't be found elsewhere."
As you can see she isn't quite kitted out for a standard combat mission but we're assured it's just because of the heat out there in the desert. She seems awesome and can actually play in an Axis army which is cool.
Additionally, she is also the premium figure so she comes painted to the studio standard that DUST 1947 use for all of their in-house models.
Will you be picking up Yukiko?

She looks stunning.
I bet her ‘sisters’ come in short skirts and knee socks too.
Not sure how she is supposed to hold the hand grip and get the shoulder stock into position :/ Like the skirt though 🙂
Had no idea there was an Imperial Japanese Navy faction, Dust has finally got my attention.
The sculpt is good and it should be a nice with its rules to snipe things. But really? A school Girl? I just can’t get in to something like that. If they are ladies on the battlefield they should be properly kitted out. I get its a show piece but still.
It’s not the only cheesy female sculpt in the Dust range though and it’s a rather tame one at that.
Heck, practically all female mercenary units are pinup models.
It kind of sucks because thematically it doesn’t make any sense.
School-girl outfit is ridiculous, but so are 8-foot tall genetically engineered soldiers fighting with chain saw swords…. It’s all the storyline and theme of the game. DUST is a very pulp/pinup style Weird WW2 game, so it fits.
While most soldiers are “normal” the characters are women in tight leather bodysuits, or muscular men in undershirts.
There are more standard uniformed women as well, just with a different style of ridiculous…like a pet hyena

there’s nothing wrong with a pet hyena within the context of that setting.
The pin-ups however aren’t needed, especially when your example shows that they can do women without having them nearly naked.
looks as if it could take out a ship.
The sculpt is rather nice, like the pinup asthetic and the “manga” style joke of the schoolgirl fighter, but too pricy for just the lols…
Dust models have definitely got more expensive. Although the price of $35 is for the premium figure and the Dust premiums are probably the best pre paints out there.
I think I’m going to use her as a replacement for Angela for my sniper.
