Atomic Mass Games are introducing the Weapon X Program and more from the world of X-Men to Marvel: Crisis Protocol. These two sets are available to pre-order now ahead of a September release.

Weapon X & Maverick - Marvel Crisis Protocol

Leading the way, we have a set featuring miniatures for Weapon X & Maverick. That particular take on Wolverine as Weapon X is impressive and reminds me so much of the first action figure I had for Marvel way back in the day based on the 90s cartoon series. I think the pose is great and looks like the perfect miniature for a couple of fun scenarios.

The set also comes with Maverick who was a former freedom fighter turned mercenary and drawn to the Weapon X Program. He has the ability to absorb kinetic energy which allows him to survive a lot of damage sent his way before sending it back at his enemies in concussive waves. He also has a slight healing factor thanks to joining the Weapon X program.

Both miniatures can be slotted into thematic forces or you could mix and match as you see fit which is one of the neat things about Marvel: Crisis Protocol.

The second set of miniatures features Sunspot & Warlock.

Sunspot & Warlock - Marvel Crisis Protocol

Sunspot is known for his ability to absorb and manipulate solar energy. You'll know him from the comics but also from the new X-Men '97 series. He is joined in the set by the techno-organic alien lifeform known as Warlock.

Warlock is one of the Technarchy who has a tad bit more compassion than the rest of his people. He has joined the New Mutants and fights alongside his new companions, using his defensive abilities to keep them safe from harm. Once again, it's great to see Atomic Mass Games looking to introduce well-known characters from the Marvel universe as well as some characters from the sidelines.

What do you make of the two new sets?
