Wave 25 Approaches For Bushido And Is Moving Forward
September 22, 2015 by stvitusdancern
GCT Studios, has given us a look at another soon to be released miniatures for wave 25 for Bushido.
This is the Hokibo, Kurama Samurai - Tengu Descension. It is an impressive miniature like most of theirs are. I got a look at Salute this year and an even better look when they were at Gen Con (loving the UK companies coming over) and I was very impressed in the miniatures.
I must confess I had not known much about this game before my time here at Beasts of War, but now that I have seen it, it is on my must have list.
The only thing that stopped me from scooping it up at Gen Con was I had too many projects going.
This Tengu Descension, looks very facanating and I am finding it hard to resist, the background story for Hokibo is drawing me in:
Where the Suzume are the most common, the Kurama are a rarity at the hatching. They are the largest, proudest and strongest warriors amongst the Tengu. Hokibo being a prime example of the Tengu warrior caste. There are few who can be called his equal with a blade, but as the Tengu are taught one’s mind must be as keen as the blade they wield.
Hokibo’s knowledge of tactics lets him know what the enemy are planning sometimes before they do. His fluid strikes slice steel like rice paper, in combat a single flex of powerful wings can launch him to his feet or force smaller foe away.
I have always been a fan of ancient oriental fantasy and the folklore associated with this. Oh, the temptation!
Have you played Bushido? Is it as awesome as it looks?

I am currently playing Bushido a lot and I’m really enjoying it.
As you would expect the different factions have different strengths and weaknesses however you can also have different play styles within a faction depending on which miniatures you choose to build your crew.
The 2’x2′ playing area is easy to transport and, with only a small area, inexpensive to build with minimal work required to create a great looking table.
There are 12 missions in the tournament pack so good variety there as well.
Finally the rules are free to download so why not give it a try!
That looks stunning.
Very awesome model. 😀 Really starting to dig the Tengu!
I love this facton
