Wave One Announced for Fantasy Flight’s Star Wars Armada

Fantasy Flight Games, has announced the first wave expansion packs for their upcoming game release Star Wars Armada. We previewed this game at GenCon and I have to say that if you like X-Wing you will love this game and if you don't like X-Wing you will still love this game! It is at such a higher dimension of strategy and play than I believe X-Wing to be. The wave 1 miniature packs will include:
With these expansion packs you will be able to increase your fleet size and have some epic battles among the stars. In this game it is all about movement and using your fleet to it's fullest capabilities. I am very excited to see the release date rapidly approaching!

Really looking forward to this dropping next year. I have been having a great time with X-wing, so Armada will take the good times up another few notches.
The ships look great, as do all the cards, capitol ship fighting will be very cool.
Can’t wait to get my hands on this! I pre-ordered two of the starter sets to get a second Victory SD, but the booster is a good idea too.
I’m not crazy about the Gladiator SD, not sure if it’s just the look or the fact that it’s conspicuously absent from major lore. Either way I don’t see myself owning one.
Regardless FFG are to be commended for putting together such a great looking game. Seriously, who can watch their demo’s and not want to make space noises?
Nebulon-B Frigate should be for either faction but in the end its a minor nitpick. This looks like its going to be a fun game. Still wish that FFG could get its hands on the I, II, and III ships and fighters. They had some cool looking hardware in those movies.
Good point on the Nebulon-B, maybe they will release Imperial cards for it. I’m sure if this game does well Luca… *cough* Disney, will be only too happy to authorize pre and post era expansions.

There have only been 3 star wars movies so far!
I will be spending an obscene amount of money on this game.
