Welcome Watchers of Illusion to Knightmare Live!

Now I think that this one might be a bit before my time, but the others seemed pretty excited about it so here goes. This year at the Edinburgh Festival cult TV show Knightmare will return with a live show using the mystical force of Kickstarter!
For those of you who, like me, missed this show during its original run on TV Knightmare was a kids' game show which ran between 1987 to 1994. A kid, designated the dungeoneer, would be guided through a CGI and hand drawn fantasy dungeon by three friends while wearing the vision obscuring Helm of Justice, all under the watchful eye of the dungeon master Treguard of Dunshelm.
Now a group of actors and comedians have come together to recreate this now cult game show at Edinburgh and this time they won't be using CGI. Using funds from Kickstarter, it is intended to create an elaborate stage which shall recreate the three levels of the original dungeon.
But what do you get for donating your cash to this cause? Well as well as the chance to be a part of recreating an iconic part of late 80's-early 90's childhood you could get the chance to don the Helm of Justice yourself, as well as a bunch of other goodies.
If you never got the chance to see this as a kid you can find most of the episodes on YouTube and if you are a true watcher of illusion you may help build the castle of confusion on Kickstarter.
I loved this show when I was a kid! “survival fantasy” indeed, lost track of the amount of times I was shouting at the screen, If this came back I would be a very happy bunny.
wheres my knapsack?
Oh my! Knightmare, that brings back so many fond memories – such an inventive and exciting show it was back in the day. Always Treguard’s completely unsympathetic “Ohhh nasty” catchphrase when one of the teams lost.
