New Warpaints from Army Painter due out on 23rd
January 6, 2012 by beerogre
If you're in Europe then you'll be luck enough to get your hands on this brand new paint set from the mighty Army Painter on the 23rd January 2012!
Unfortunately our friends across the pond in the US won't be able to get them until March 23rd... but still... at least you're getting them.

Still not sold on these guys. Their before and after pics are deceptive. They show 4 easy steps – spray in the primary color, then ‘base coat’ in your secondary and tertiary colors, then shade using a universal dark shade, then anti-shine finish. But the pics they show at the various steps show quite a lot more work going on than that, including a lot of ridge highlighting and detail picking. Shading colors with the generic dark brown wash just makes the models look dirty.
I’ve used their dip and it works fantastic. The anti-shine actually creates a little highlighting itself (a slight whitening on the top edges). I’m very pleased with their product so far. I have not yet had a chance to try out their paints, but will give them a go soon. Sucks that I have to wait until March to get this set. 🙁
I’ve used some of the basing stuff and got good results. Have yet to use the dip an shake stuff.
I like their basing stuff alot! I am using their brushes and i dont find them quite to my liking. I am not sure how i feel about quickshade, but i will be trying it out soon enough.
The Army Painter cannot be beaten for tabletop quality… Sprays, dips, basing materials, all very affordable and top quality !
I’m eager to see what the expanded paint range is like under the brush, especiall if it matches the sprays’ hues…

Do you think the pigments are as good as the P3 Line? (Color not Metal)
