Warlord’s Plastic 95th Riflemen Available For A Limited Time
June 24, 2019 by brennon
If you're looking to add the 95th Riflemen to your Napoleonic army in Black Powder then Warlord Games have a range of plastics soldiers available for a limited time.
The set was designed for those building the massive armies used in Waterloo Replayed. Inside the set, you'll get ten single-piece plastic riflemen with their bases. Each is based on the existing metal models from Warlord Games but give you a cheaper option for building up your skirmishing force.
I think these would be good for those who are playing a game like Sharp Practice and just need a small set of miniatures for use in the game.
Could you be tempted by these?

So why the artificial scarcity? Just to drive FOMO? Not liking this gimmick.
I agree, that’s balls
As I mentioned on another comment…
“I assume that they are just what’s left over from their production run when they made the miniatures for the big game. So, they’re just selling off what they have sitting around?”
Ordered these on Friday. For the UK anyway, Warlord have Free Postage for orders over £10. As these cost £10, it was a no-brainer as I am interested in what actual plastic material these are in.
Not bad for a tenner. They are not hard plastic, it is like Mantic’s restic. There are visible mould lines and I have one wonky bayonet that will need a bit of hot water to sort out. The detail is fine and I think they will paint up nicely. If you already have the metals, these aren’t a bad way to add numbers to a unit, but when the metals are £20 for 16 with a greater variety of poses (and a dog) I would start with them, and maybe add a box of these if you need/want anymore.
Was also wonder why the “limited” time. If you were not going to offer these long term I would have expected them to be cast in resin or metal (not going through the expense of making a aluminium mold for plastics). It might be that they intend to release them later in a bigger retail box perhaps (hence the limited off in the current format), but I’d be surprised to see new plastics removed from sale.

Those are nice but I am bothered by those being available only for limited time. That only benefits ebay scalpers.
Just some thoughts on these given the comment of others… I very much doubt they are hard plastic as they are single piece figures that are identical to the metal figures they already sell and have been selling for years. They are probably only available for a limited time as perhaps there was only a limited number of them produced and it is probably not financially viable to restock them and they will return to selling the metal figures when they sell the surplus created when they produced these for the game in Glasgow. Perhaps they are testing the market… Read more »
Could be, however how many Riflemen would they need for the game vs the costs of doing this limited run (even if it’s PVC/Soft plastic.
But if that’s the case, Warlord are certainly going above and beyond to support this game. Is it just going to be using Warlord Figures or are there any other manufacturers figures or privately owned armies that are going to be used (and what ARE they going to do with all these figures AFTER the game?
The game is over. There were 22,000 figures used in total. I think some people brought along their own armies to fight but I’ve no idea about your other questions. http://www.waterlooreplayed.com/ if you want to know more about Waterloo Replayed.
And only 3 poses, its gonna take way more effort than im prepared to spend to make them as individual as possible…
Shame really.
nice Sharpe? looking figures.
If I had the chance these lads would add nicely to my Riflemen from Perry, then again, I already have enough to do some 95th and 60th, so… Still very nice and possibly an indication that they will add a Battalion of them in plastic in the future?
