Warlord Begin Miniature Previews For Strontium Dog & 2000AD Line-Up

Warlord Games has now started their miniature previews for Strontium Dog and the exploration of the 2000AD worlds. Here we have the first of their characters, Durham Red.
I won't pretend to know a darn thing about 2000AD and Strontium Dog, and I only have a passing knowledge of Judge Dredd, but the model is certainly a step up over what we were seeing during the last outing of this game world from Warlord Games.
Updated figures are a must for something like this I think, especially with its quirky and weird world. As well as Red we also saw three more previews too...
I'm very much liking the style of these particular miniatures here, maybe more so than the design for Durham Red above. I think the comic nature has been captured a little better here, especially in the case of Johnny there in the centre.
If you're a big 2000AD fan I'm sure you have plenty of cool ideas of what you'd like to see next.

This is going to be fun.
If I remember rightly Durham Red was only with Johnny Alpha for a very short time before going into suspended animation coming out of that about 1000 years later
This is so retro.
I am still undcided whether I like it or not.

Now this is great. I love that other 2000AD comic books get some love as well than just Judge Dredd. Maybe someday we see Nemesis the Warlock.

Its going to be a boxed set… and the rules for SD will be used with mods of course for other 2000AD settings too….sweet….

These look great. Warlord are getting more and more of my money with this and their other properties.
Do we have any idea what the rules look like (will there be rules?) The old Mongoose game was a solid (but simple) well playtested game and Warlord had a nice rulebook for it and then it vanished…any idea what happened to that?
You mean the Judge Dredd rules? I believe that Warlord are going with a new set for SD (however, I DO hope they don’t start doing cards in the box sets like they did with Test of Honour). Let’s hope they keep the rules in one place (a rulebook), and perhaps a campaign system?
Johnny and The Gronk are spot on, Durham Red is “ok”. However, not sure what happened to Wulf (could be the camera angle) but it looks like he lost an upper arm somewhere along the way (really don’t like the pose)
I love all three.But,having said that, i wouldn’t mind seeing a Wulf alternate swinging his hammer and wearing his Gronk fur.
