I didn’t watch the video but the fact that it is nearly 40 minutes long says everything about rigging I think XD

I hope they redo that one, the music is a bit distracting and the camerawork/editing isn’t what I’d hope from a professional – but the guy clearly knows what he’s doing.

I think if a person is wanting a super detailed set of models that will be admired by any opponent that comes to your house to set and play a game then rigging your ships is a great move!
If your planning on traveling with your ship collection then your opening a huge can of worms as that rigging will place demands on packing and ridged travel cases.
I’ve rigging 1/50th scale ships and they look stunning. But unless placed under glass will collect dust and become a continuous challenge to keep up to standards.

I’m actually looking forward to giving this a go. It feels like a challenge. I’m not normally one for fiddly modelling, but there’s something about this that appeals.
That’s a great deal of work but the end result is worth it. It really makes the ship. I wouldn’t use black thread however, tan or something to mimic rope would be much better looking.
The video gets better and easier to watch the farther in you get. This is a complicated video as the set up is not easy and the close ups of the fingers is hard to get past. As for giving this a shot I am going to do up at least one to see how it goes once I get to painting up my first Brig.
