Warlord Games Battle With Their New Daimyo & Oni Ogres
July 27, 2020 by brennon
Warlord Games has released two new packs of miniatures for those playing Warlords Of Erehwon. Keeping with the theme of Fantasy Japanese armies you can now battle with your Daimyo and also hire some Oni Ogres to fight with you.
Daimyo & Retinue // Warlord Games
The first of the sets to take a peek at is the Daimyo & Retinue. You get a rather awesome looking leader figure, drawing his katana to strike at his foes, plus a band of hardened veterans who would lay down their lives to defend their leader.
You can actually download the full Samurai Army List for FREE to use in your games. The list comes loaded with special rules and options for making a Fantasy army of Samurai to use against the traditional fare of Orcs, Elves and the like.
Talking of Fantasy, you can also pick up this set of Oni Ogres who could work as the brutal hammer to beat your enemies back.
Oni Ogres // Warlord Games
These are some stunning sculpts who are all posed in some very epic ways. You would not want to mess with these warriors from a different plane of existence. I have always liked the imagery of Oni and Warlord Games have added quite the good looking box of them into the mix here.
Of course, you don't need to use these for Warlords Of Erehwon. You could very easily drop the Daimyo and his warriors into Test Of Honour or Ronin and you could even spin the Oni into it as well if you wanted to add a bit of a Fantastical feel to the game.
Are you tempted by these new miniatures?

I still think it’s weird to have fantasy Japanese when there aren’t other “nations” but they are some nice models
The Japanese plastic kits are repackaged Test of Honour Sprues, but those are new, and nice, Oni.
Yeah I had a wee look on the website. I like the proportions of Warlord minis though I know not everyone is a fan. The Oni are cracking looking
Actually they are re-repackaged WGF sets, which are okay once you figure out how to put them together. The oni do look.
Nice looking figures.
I want those Oni
These are really nice may use them for oathmark
I prefer my “Oni” to look like this…….https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/822294729/tsuki-the-oni-beauty-artisan-guild-3d?ref=yr_purchases
