Warlord Games Announce New Free D-Day Scenarios!
May 30, 2019 by cassn
Warlord Games have been running an extensive 3-month campaign to honour the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Now, they have released three free scenarios to encourage players to get involved!
There are currently three scenarios to choose from: The Violins of Autumn, which pits French Partisan power against the German Heer; Postage Able, in which the British Commandos and German Heer meet in force; and Snap-Happy, where D-Day takes to the skies as the RAF Photo-Reconnaissance forces meet the Luftwaffe in the clouds!
Interested players can enlist on the dedicated D-Day campaign website. Once you have signed up, battles can be reported through the site, which will then keep track of the overall score, as well as in individual categories.
This week is the launch of the campaign and, so far, there has been a lot of excitement in the official Facebook group, so this looks like it is going to be a really interesting campaign. Head over to the website and enlist your forces now!
Will you be joining the Bolt Action D-Day campaign? What forces will you be fighting for? Tell us below!

should be a great set of battles for everyone.
This is a great way to get warmed up for the D-Day Bootcamp!
isn’t that for another game at another scale :-p ?
That’s the great thing about scenarios. Generally, they can be used for any scale with only a little modding.
That aside, playing these in 28mm in this game system will still get you jazzed for the other system when it rolls around.
Guess I’m just too used to manipulating systems to suit my needs. My bad for causing any confusion!
??
that’s the nice thing about scenarios they don’t even need to be for the same genre never mind scale.
They should have kept the name for the 1st one 1n French, as the phrase was spoken in french over the air. But nice scenario at least, seems very plausible.
Lovely. I shall adapt these for my Sea Lion campaign. Great stuff!
