November 23, 2015 by stvitusdancern
The famous Boers of South Africa, who at a time aided the British in their fight against the Zulu nation. These stalwart Dutch settlers had come to this wild country to seek new lives for themselves and their family.
They became the experts in the land and those of its native people. For a time Boers and British had a common foe, the Zulu and combined to fight this enemy, Britain with its military might and Boers' with their frontier knowledge.
Unfortunately after the war, the relations turned sour and the Boers fought back against the tide of the British in two separate wars that lasted into the early twentieth century. Now, Warlord Games along with Empress Miniatures brings you some fine examples of these impressive frontier fighters in a mounted and dismounted version.
These will add wonderfully to anyone's collection from this time period, so take a look and see for yourself.
Have you tried Black Powder's Anglo-Zulu Wars yet?
