Warhost’s Death & Taxes Expansion Comes To The Barons’ War
December 14, 2021 by brennon
Warhost's newest expansion to The Barons' War, their 28mm Historical wargame set during the Medieval period, is now available from Footsore Miniatures & Games. There are only two constants in life, Death & Taxes!
Death & Taxes // The Barons' War
Death & Taxes takes your campaigns of The Barons' War to Wimentun village. Through a series of campaign-based scenarios, you'll either take on the role of the Sheriff Of Nottinghamshire and the lackeys of King John or the local outlaws who have pledged to defend the villagers and their way of life.

As well as the narrative campaign for you to play through, you'll also be able to dive into rules that support running seasonal and map-based campaigns where you strive to conquer territory. You'll also be able to build a full warband of Outlaws for use beyond the scope of Death & Taxes too using the retinue list.
If you order the book right now you'll also be able to get the free Outlawed Noble (pictured above) for you to use in your games. The Barons' War looks like great fun and I think it would be neat to see more people showing off the different warbands they've made for the game.
Have you dived into The Barons' War yourself?

Have they changed their name again?
Nope. Warhost is external to Footsore, and is the company that have written the rules (Andy Gooday and George Asling). Footsore are selling the rules, and designing/manufacturing the range to go with them.
Ah gotcha, cheers. I even backed this on Kickstarter and missed that detail. Oops
The sheriff of Nottinghamshire is in this so I’m assuming Robin the hood is a tax returner to the poor?
For a moment i thought this was another Barons War Release, then I realised that I backed this on Kickstarter and it was delivered a few months ago.
