Wargames Illustrated put together an article recently looking at the painting of one of their new Giants In Miniature releases. Shaka Zulu is going to be available soon over on their store!

Shaka Zulu was a pretty fascinating character. I must admit, I didn't know much about him beyond the name. It was well worth diving into his Wiki and learning about how he was able to make the Zulus a force to be reckoned with.
He seems like a very powerful leader for the period and was able to forge alliances and pressure his opponents allowing him to make a strong kingdom, even if it was one that was particularly fraught with difficulty.

An impressive individual and certainly deserving of a Giants In Miniature release. The article which showcased the miniature actually went into detail on how to paint him in the style you see here. It is a comprehensive run-down of techniques and it also goes into the skill behind sculpting the miniature too.
Are you going to be snapping up Shaka Zulu when he becomes available in the coming weeks?

That’s a stunning looking figure of the Zulu King.
And at 4 quid a brilliant deal.
Lovely sculpt. Definitely getting one of those. Not all that about the way the shield has been painted. Doesn’t look like any cowhide I’ve ever seen. I prefer the technique that Gerry uses.
shaka when the walls fell ?
Have a thumbs up sir.
