Wargames Factory Preview WWII German Infantry

Wargames Factory have previewed their upcoming new WWII German Infantry. Take a look and tell us what you think.
How do you all think this will turn out? Think you might use them in your own games?
No expert but holding a rifle like that while throwing a grenade doesn’t look like a pose I would expect to see in the Wehrmacht’s handbook
The whole pose lacks the tension one would get on a battle field and he looks more like he is about to chuck a ball back to some kids in the park.
Sorry to be harsh but am wondering if this is designed on a computer and lacks dynamism as a result?
I don’t mean that the figure needs to be a sinuous baroque arabesque to be dynamic
Yeah, it’s a render for a multi-part plastic kit.
I expect the finished product to look a little different, as the details tend not to remain quite as fine on the model as on the render, and we’re likely looking at something with multiple different limbs.
If the shock-troops are anything to go by, then it’ll probably be a torso with a choice of heads and arms.
Thanks @bombkangaroo
The way he holds the rifle only makes sense if he is left handed and has the barrel (projection?) which is unlikely The shoulder wouldn’t allow that even if he was left handed.
So presumably that must be the left arm option for the grenade thrower
No that’s not how you throw a grenade while holding a Kar98k, that’s not even how you hold a Kar98k, singe its a right handed rifle, your left hand would be near the centre of balance. The angle of the head and arms are all wrong, the rifle is too thin- the K98 is thick even compared to its contemporaries- and lacks the details on the underside like the magazine plate etc. Was it Wargames Factory that changed ownership in less than transparent circumstances? if so this would explain a lot- the sci-fi troopers heavy weapons teasers look nothing like… Read more »
He throws like a little girlie man!
“Wormser is a master of aerodynamics and designed the Model 24 Stielhandgranate to go along with Lamar’s limp-wristed throwing style.”
That’s a historically accurate pose.
Remember the old WW2 GI saying ” Krauts throw like girls !”.
Soccer players versus baseball players in a hand grenade throwing contest.
Baseball for the Win. 😀
