Wargames Atlantic’s New Plastic Peasants Are Revoltingly Good!

Wargames Atlantic bulked out their collection of 28mm Medieval miniatures this week with pre-orders for their new Peasant Levy plastic set. This will be a fantastic addition to the range which already includes Foot Knights.

This set comes with enough components for you to make thirty of the Peasant Levy who can be armed with a variety of weapons like spears, bows, clubs, slings, axes, swords and at a pinch, a bunch of farming equipment. There are also loads of different heads on the sprues so you can customise your Levy to look unique.

The Peasant Levy might end up making up the bulk of an army during this period and whilst they weren't going to swing the battle in your favour, they could hold the line during desperate battles. They might have been summoned from the fields by a Baron or hired as mercenaries by an enterprising warlord. Whilst many of these Peasants had very little training, others were well-trained and drilled and came from a higher class of society. Those folks were few and far between though.

The set comes with two unique frames which cover the main bodies of your troops and then the weapons they can be armed with. As with all of the Wargames Atlantic kits, they can be used to kitbash and customise others so they could sit alongside the existing Foot Knights or the upcoming Sergeants and Cavalry.

This is a fantastic set and even if you're not going to be using them in a Historical wargame, they would be perfect for a myriad of Fantasy wargames instead. I'm sure a lot of folks are going to be using these miniatures for The Barons' War but they could also be great for Age Of Chivalry. Equally, this might be a good start for a band of miscreants in Frostgrave or followers in a game of Rangers Of Shadow Deep.
