Wargames Atlantic Head To SpaceNam With New Plastic Kit!
July 21, 2022 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic have teamed up with Reptilian Overlords to bring a series of their 3D Printable and resin miniatures to the tabletop as part of brand-new plastic kits. The first of these kits focused around SpaceNam and a band of hard-as-nails 28mm jungle fighters!

The set features a band of burly soldiers that are ready to take on all manner of deadly foes from the near future, be they alien or human! They can be armed with standard rifles, blast pistols, bladed weapons, grenades, flame throwers, grenade launchers, sniper rifles and even plasma/heat weapons.

As you can see, there is something of the Predator about a few of these whilst you've also got plenty of Catachan influences throughout. They are a little more heavily armoured than their grimdark cousins however but they've still made room for those rippling muscles!

I think these look brilliant as a replacement for your old and tired Catachan miniatures in Warhammer 40,000 but they would also work exceedingly well across a number of different game systems too. They look "generic" enough that they could match a whole host of different games. You could even just paint the armour differently to match them to an entirely different ecosystem.
Sprue-wise, they have bundled a lot onto the kit as you can see.

I like that you can do so much mixing and matching with the range. The array of weapons they can draw on makes them a solid choice for small skirmish games as well as larger mass battle affairs.
Hopefully, this is just the start of the Wargames Atlantic and Reptilian Overlords partnership and we'll see more of their resin and STL range get ported over into plastic! This kit is available to pre-order now ahead of a September release.
Are you going to be picking these up?

I get the feeing we might see GW finally update the guard models with the release of the new codex before the end of the year. I hope they include the Catachan models because they are a horrible looking kit. If they are half as good as these models I would be more than happy. As much as I would like to pick them up not very clear when they might be coming to the UK I assume the September is just USA ?
Wargames Atlantic have US and UK webstores, I would expect them both sides of the pond at the same time
Ooh nice Very Predatory troops.
this company just keeps getting better and better !
Not sure I need any of them, but they look good. Far more interesting to look at than space marines.
All you need now is a Predator to hunt them down one by one.
Catachan, let me rock you
Let me rock you, Catachan
Get to da choppa!
I got the stl files for the Spacenam Infatry Set 1.0 and the plasmarifle guys, the models are quite nice.
Wargames Atlantic do it again, very good sculpts ?
You could easily do some great Space Marine Scout conversions with these.
Starship Troopers are here now we need a rule set and scenarios that mirror the book/movie.
