Wargames Atlantic Showcase New Plastic Bavarians!
June 7, 2021 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic showcased yet another plastic set that is going to be dropping in the near future. The Bavarians are coming together to fight against and sometimes alongside the Prussians during the wars of 1866 and 1870.
Bavarian Command // Wargames Atlantic
The new Bavarian set will come with thirty miniatures and offer up options that work for both the conflict of 1866 and 1870. These particular miniatures have been painted by Jason Frowde and give you a peek at these fancy uniforms they're going to be rocking.
Bavarian Riflemen // Wargames Atlantic
Get into some clashes under the leadership of "Mad King" Ludwig II! You got a whole bunch of options within this set as you can see with offerings that allow you to build command elements as well as your rank and file soldiers.

A lot of people are already very eager to snap up this kit. Who would have thought that right?! Those are some very fancy looking hats in particular! Wargames Atlantic are constantly full of surprises when it comes to what they've got lined up.
Are you going to be picking these up when they release?

A conflict I know very little about. I’d best get reading. Thanks WA!
Sincere thanks, that is.
Nice figures.
Nice of WGA giving us Guard players some excellent stand ins for Mordian Iron Guard 🙂
Oh now it makes sense. I thought this was a very strange unique set of figures that pick an army and moment in history that not many people will be playing. However your right these are “Not the Mordian Iron Guard”
However having the blankets around the body on so many of figures then seems a very odd choice I dont think I would pick up a box purely for that reason.
I think WGA are very aware of who will be interested in cost effective boxes of plastic infantry that can be used in more than one setting with a little conversion work…
Time to dust off the Castle Falkenstein RPG books 🙂
These do look rather nice, will be picking up a pack for sure. I wasn’t super impressed with the British riflemen set it, was good just not as good as single piece metals, some of the posing was a little odd and it wasn’t quite as flexible as its seemed at first glance, this looks similar. The office arms look particularly odd, in the above images as does the trumpeter and the soldier in cap with exceptionally wide legs. Never the less, looking to be a nice kit and a great way to pick up some cheap troops for the… Read more »
Considering I’m still looking for minis to pick up for use in SLUDGE, this is really tempting! (And it’s Wargames Atlantic, it’s already going to be great!)
These lads do very nice work. I don’t think I’ve seen a dud kit from them.
