July 10, 2023 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic have released a few more kits on their MyMiniFactory page for those wanting to get 3D Printing Historical and Fantasy miniatures in 28mm. We start with the Historical side of things and some miniatures for the Napoleonic, Dark Age, World War II and Ancient periods.
Irish Cavalry // Wargames Atlantic
First up, we have the Irish Cavalry. These can be used alongside a variety of horse miniatures and you get a whole host of different weapons for bringing these raiders to life. You've got two bodies in the set showing heavily and lightly armoured cavalry plus a range of weapons including swords, spears, slings and more. You even get a nice cloak which might be good for adding to the leader of the unit.
Hopping forward a little in time, we have some miniatures for the Napoleonic period. You can now kick ass with some Bavarian Infantry.

This set comes with a series of soldiers marching forth rather than being stuck in the midst of battle. If you're looking to make a bunch of units very quickly, these kinds of kits are usually very handy. You'll note that you get the command elements in the set as well including a leader, standard bearer and musician.
Venturing further forward in history, we also have the Gebirgsjager German Troops who are looking to put some Allies in the dirt.
Gebirgsjager German Troops // Wargames Atlantic
These troops were light infantry that would have fought in places like Germany, Austria and Switzerland where the battlefields were alpine in nature. Some solid mountain troops that should be able to lay all sorts of ambushes for the Allies looking to push through into hard-to-reach places to secure objectives.
You get a nice selection of scoped weapons to choose from here which makes the perfect ambush squad and when all of the sneaking fails, you can bring the machine guns to bear.
Last but not least, we're going all the way back to the Ancient period. Whilst not a very new addition to MyMiniFactory, these are very cool and I wanted to highlight them. See what you make of the Trojan War Infantry.

This gives you some great Bronze Age warriors to use when trying to keep the Greeks from your gates. You've got high-status warriors in this set alongside a lot of the rank and file with both armoured and unarmoured options. They come with swords, bows, spears and those ace shields. Whether you're trying to play out the mythical siege of Troy or something more Historical, you've got some good options here.
...And A Bit Of Fantasy!
Last but not least, the folks at Wargames Atlantic also put their Classic Fantasy Dwarves on MyMiniFactory for you to download.
Classic Fantasy Dwarves // Wargames Atlantic
This set gives you a good collection of proper dirty Dwarves that wouldn't look out of place on an Oldhammer tabletop. Whether your looking to play games like Warhammer Fantasy Battles, OnePageRules or Oathmark, these should be just the ticket! You get lots of big beardy faces, heavily armoured troops, a banner, a warhorn and loads of hand weapons and shields. You also get options for switching things up and giving them great weapons instead.
Thanks to this being a 3D Printable kit, this should mean that you can print a pretty hefty amount of these for use in your rank-and-file games. Hopefully, if these do well, we'll see more specialised units for the Dwarves.
Whilst all of the miniatures seen here are available as 3D Printable STL files, you might also see them come out soon via Only-Games. This means that if you don't have access to a 3D Printer, you could be lucky enough to get them pre-printed in the near future.
Will you be getting any of these kits 3D Printed soon?

lovely ?
Wow they are fabulous to mix thing’s up for the gaming table’s.
I love the Trojan Infantry. I have never seen models from that period or force before. The Bavarians are great, but with Victrix plastics and the excellent Piano range, I would have preferred something a bit less common in the Napoleonic range. Nonetheless, never look a gift horse in the mouth. The more the merrier I guess.
The Gebirgsjager are very welcome, though I’m a little disappointed there are so few body options.
Interesting choice with Bavarians, particularly as https://pianowargames.de/ do an excellent range already.
