Wargames Altantic Get New Halflings Painted Up!
July 10, 2019 by brennon
The team at Wargames Atlantic have got Matthew Leahy to paint up some of their awesome new plastic Halflings which are coming soon.
Here you can see two of the different weapon options available to them on the sprue, namely a big old pike/halberd and then a bow and arrow for shooting enemies at range. I like that in all instances the Halflings are looking to keep their enemy as far away from them as possible!
I think these new plastics are looking great and we should be seeing more previews of them very soon. Somewhere Gerry is salivating about these and considering adding them to his collection. Sam is probably also on the brink of starting a new army for Age Of Magic too after seeing these.
One thing that is cool about these is that it actually makes the Halflings look like competent fighters! They look grizzled and hardened, armed and armoured as if they truly care about defending their homes rather than just being armed with pots and pans!
What do you make of these new painted Halflings and what Fantasy force would you like to see Wargames Atlantic bring to the tabletop next?
Comments on a postcard!

It is also refreshing to see a new company come in and try and fill gaps in the plastic market rather than just supply another variation of the big sellers (Gerry has made this point very well on previous Weekenders). I do hope it works for them (and yes I… Read more »
Those are really nice.
Nice looking figure’s I can see a BOW member getting some an giving them Hairy feets’es Sam?
Very useful for my RPG miniatures collection. I’m in the process of getting rid of some of the more “heroic” scale stuff and switching to the more realistic 28mm “true scale” that basically opens up most historical miniatures. Now we have Northstar, Fireforge and Atlantic doing fantasy stuff in that scale (and Mantic have been working in that scale for a while) it’s become much more realistic and things just got a lot cheaper.
I’ll need a bunch of these!
Great minis
Nice, really like these. Might pick up some.
