Battlehaven – A Wargamer’s Get Away
June 9, 2016 by stvitusdancern
So a few of the former members who used to put on Valhalla a few years back before the talented Wargamer Girl took on the task have decided that they miss putting together an all out gaming experience.
With this in mind they are putting together a new gaming retreat called Battlehaven and it will take place in September of this year from the 3 to the 8th. It is an all out gamer's experience with lodging, food and most important of all games.
From what I am able to decipher from the site they will be using Warhammer 40K as the focal point of the week, however there will be many other games being played as well. So. if 40K is not your thing there will be Warmachine / Hordes, X-Wing and many more offered.
Of course this one is offered in a beautiful location in the mountains of Utah, I wonder what is in the air out there that makes people want to gather in the mountains and play games? If this is something you might be interested in take a look at there site for more information.
Does an event like this interest you?

Wow…just imagine spending the midmorning having a long walk in that stunning environment, then having a nice lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon gaming your favourite game? When I die that’s how I want my heaven to be like ;P
Looks interesting but what was Valhalla that was mentioned at the start?
@mage valhalla was/is a gaming weekend at a big ski resort lodge, usually would get a lot of coverage on MWG and friends channels. Think Blue Table Painting used to run it, pretty much a 40k, x-wing & warmahoards fest, always looked like a lot of fun, cant really think of european equivalents other than some of the bigger tournaments…
