The Ward Preceptor is another of the new 35mm miniatures scheduled for release by Para Bellum Wargames soon for the ever-expanding Fantasy world of Conquest: The Last Argument Of Kings. The Spires have got a new protector.

The Spires might craft their own troops for war but sometimes they do see the merit in reducing the casualties that they suffer. You can only shape bone and muscle so quickly! That's when the Ward Preceptor gets called in. With fast reflexes and exceptionally heavy armour, these elite warriors are able to hold their ground and cover the forces of The Spires as they advance.

I really do like the idea behind The Spires; an army that has been crafted and boned for war. Each unit has its own distinct purpose and it comes out in its design. The Ward Preceptor here and many of the other miniatures in the range show off that rather "alien" engineering which still features hints of something Giger-esque.
