V&V Miniatures Follow A New Jarl Into Dark Age Battle
December 23, 2015 by brennon
V&V Miniatures have shown off the work going into a new Historical model for use with your Dark Age battles. See what you think of this Jarl with sword held high and shield raised wearing a rather fetching helmet and chainmail combo...
I think he's looking like he'd be a mighty fine leader. What I would have liked to see, other than him with his foot on a rock once again, is maybe the prow of a ship or something more 'scenic' so it isn't so obvious that it's just to elevate him heroically.
Maybe you could have him standing on the ruined body of a foe or a crushed Christian cross? Away from that little niggle however the shield is looking good and a prime candidate for either a transfer or some freehand work. The cloak is also begging to be weathered.
Overall I think he'd make a great new leader for a Dark Age warband and I could see him at the head of Vikings or even Pagan Rus warriors leading them into battle.
What do you think?

Great looking mini
Fine looking chap, Looks so familiar I feel I almost know him 🙂
He would look perfectly at home in Middle-earth – I like more realistically proportioned swords and paraphernalia.
