Victrix’s Plastic French Cannons Smoke Up The Napoelonic Battlefield
August 3, 2015 by brennon
Victrix have now released their 28mm scale plastic French Artillery Cannon set. The box allows you to make three different guns and comes with fifteen crew who can be given a variety of different options including headgear...
Fire!
The Cannon in the set can be assembled in a few different ways. You can either make them as 8pdr or 12pdr guns depending on what fits most accurately with your army or indeed which just looks the coolest.
As you can see from a model standpoint these are really nice kits. In reality cannons really were quite amazing pieces of design. I imagine there were many blacksmiths and workers who reckoned these were works of art when they left the factory.
Which Hat?
The crew are also available within the box, fifteen of them in fact. You can decide whether you want to give them different headgear too with options for shakos, bearskins or the typical French hat you'll be used to seeing from the period.
Once again these are great looking models in their own right. You wouldn't have thought so much work would go into crewmen for artillery crews! I think of the lot I would go with the shakos (the last image) for no other reason than that they look the best.
What options would you go for?
