Victrix Loose Their Rag With A Plastic Viking Berserker Preview
October 2, 2018 by brennon
Victrix has shown off another of their plastic previews with this snarling Viking Berserker, clad in heavy chainmail and with axe in hand.
The team behind this new set has already said that they are going to be changing the positioning of the hands on the axe and its length to make it more realistic, but overall I think this is a great look at what's coming down the pipeline.
As you can see they are working on an option with comes with a big bushy beard as well as the helmet.
I actually think I prefer the model with the helmet on. It would provide a great point of difference to the normal howling Berserker and offer up something different on the painting side of things.
Have you been won over by the idea of having Victrix's Vikings on the tabletop?

Not keen on ‘effect fur’, and those links in the chainmail look quite big, but otherwise this is a great miniature.
It is always so difficult to tell with a render but I’d certainly agree with you that the general impression is very positive. I’m certainly no expert but I understand from those with better technical know-how that small details are over emphasised on renders like these to ensure the finer detail shows up effectively on the castings. Once we start to see them cast then the fur and chainmail should look in scale and proportionate.
Well as usual there only renders. Will wait for the actual figures to be shown to see how they look
Interesting figure’s.
