Victrix Miniatures Buys Little Big Men Studios & 2025 Plans!
December 23, 2024 by brennon
Victrix Miniatures has announced that they have bought Little Big Men Studios, the name behind a whole host of transfers and flags for armies across different periods of history. Steve is rejoining Julian and the team from Victrix in the new year.
Victrix Miniatures & Little Big Men Studios
Victrix mentioned in their announcement that Steve founded Victrix with Julian back in 2008 but left in 2014 to bring Little Big Men Studios to life. He helped define the sculpting style of Victrix and so his return as Head Of Design seems like a great move. It will also mean that rather than Little Big Men Studios being a one-man band doing everything, Victrix will handle the production of the transfers whilst Steve will just be able to work on designing new transfers and more as part of the Victrix team.
It has been noted in both announcements that whilst Steve will now be working with Victrix closely, transfers for other creators and ranges will still be made. "Rest assured Victrix will be selling all the transfers for every manufacturer I make, not just Victrix transfers." - Steve.
It sounds like a move that makes sense and should hopefully mean that more people get their transfers quickly and plenty more transfers make it to the range so they can adorn the shields and banner poles of many different armies.
Victrix's 2025 Plans
Victrix also talked about what's coming up in 2025. They will be starting with the Medieval Foot Knights and the 28mm World War II German Infantry & Heavy Weapons.
Following on from that, they will be releasing Medieval Foot Sergeants, 12mm Afrika Korps and 8th Army as well as more for the Western and Islamic Medieval ranges. There are also massive plans for their Dark Ages range and their Ancients collection. They also teased we might see more Napoleonics. A brand new range is also planned but they are keeping tight-lipped on that right now.
It will be great to see how much money Victrix manage to make out of Gerry and Lloyd in the new year!
