Victrix Limited Releases New 15MM Aircraft.
December 14, 2014 by stvitusdancern
As reported earlier in the summer of this year, Victrix Limited was working on an range of 15mm aircraft. The first two planes are now released, the Hawker Typhoon 1B and the Ju87 G2 STUKA, with more promised in the coming new year. Each box contains three aircraft with stands and decals.
The detail has to be seen to be appreciated. These would make an awesome addition to anyone's 15mm collections and for those gamers who are into their Flames of War and other WWII games. I will definately be grabbing these as soon as I can.
Will you be taking your army to new heights?

I have been waiting a year for these – they look fantastic. I would like to see a little more detail on these telescoping stands as I can imagine little worse than spending hours on creating a beautifully built and painted mini than to have it crash to the floor.
Victrix are talking about a much larger range of these eventually, and since some of the bigger names dropped out of the 1:100 WW2 aircraft market (apparently), they may have the true scale field to themselves as opposed to those who substitute 1:144 and 1:200 scale planes.
Those are great little model planes.
Most excellent release, I’m anxiously waiting for my order to arrive!
I like that Ju-87G, the Stuka tank buster with the 37mm gun pods. Great for a Kursk game!
Finally, 1:100 planes for Flames of War. I don’t know how the majority of people feel but it has put me off buying any air units for Flames of War due to the scale difference. Maybe now I can FINALLY get some air units.
You’re right, @grimthara . FoW, PSC, all the companies from which I’ve bought aircraft for to use with 15mm vehicles . . . all make their aircraft in 1/144 (10mm). Yes, it is the wrong scale. A lot of players don’t mind because aircraft are so much bigger than ground vehicles, my 1/144 IL-2 Sturmovik is STILL bigger than any two vehicles put together. On 1/100 scale the thing would have a wing span of about 6 inches, cost $75, and probably weigh half a pound. 🙂 I think a lot of players don’t mind the smaller scale just because… Read more »
