Victoria Release Guns & Gizmos Galore To Spruce Up Your Minis
February 23, 2016 by dracs
It has been a while since we last heard from Victoria Miniatures, but now they are kicking off 2016 with a slew of new accessory pieces to kit up your miniatures with.
First, we have two new guns to fill the enemy with lead with.
The Bren gun was well known as the primary light machine gun of the British and Commonwealth forces in WWII and was in use in various forms until the 1990's. This new accessory looks like it could be a bit of a delicate sculpt, but its iconic appearance will suit both modern war and pulp scifi settings well.
Alongside the Bren gun, Victoria give us the opportunity to get our hands on its predecessor; the Lewis gun.
The Lewis was produced in WWI and is easily recognisable due to its rounded barrel. While it was replaced by the Bren, it still saw use in WWII, primarily with the Home Guard.
Of course, if you don't want to shoot, you can always get up close and personal with these new axes.
These brutal Scalptaker Chain Axes definitely look like they could get the job done. They aren't as flamboyant as a lot of these weapon accessories tend to be, and instead look a bit more workmanlike. Well, as workmanlike as a whirring axe blade of death can be.
While all these weapons are important, Victoria have also released another equally vital accessory. After all, all this fire power is useless if your transport gets a flat and you can't get to the fight.
This APC Spare Wheel is a nice touch that makes the model look a bit more real and will serve to break up large, flat panel areas.
All in all, this is a pretty good showing from Victoria. The weapons accessories are all very well designed and could fit with a number of settings if used creatively. Hopefully, we will see more from them in the near future.
Do you prefer the look of the Lewis or the Bren gun? What do you think of the axes and spare wheels?

nice.
My Albion imperial guard have been desperately waiting those Bren guns.
In the hobby budget schedule for post salute
That Lewis Gun intrigues me. Wonder if there’s any way to get it on a BA mini…seeing as Warlord haven’t given us one for Home Guard yet. I’m trying to build the Dad’s Army Platoon. I have the characters…minus Sponge…I just need the others. I really want some forage cap heads for them too… 😛
Also have to agree with @tasker ; those fusiliers are amazing.
The whole range is beautiful. I have my eye on the Rough Rider conversion kits.
Vic makes some really great stuff. I have a bunch of the Arcadians (just in case I ever feel like playing 40K again) plus the wheeled Taurus kit you can see in the pictures above. I think I’m going to have to get the spare wheel for it.. and heck, some of those Lewis guns too because you never know when you need some T-21 light repeating blasters 😀
